Painted during a very hot few days in the UK, my latest work on paper depicts a classic example of a plastic water pistol in blue against a soft yellow background.

I love the idea of turning these often throwaway toy items that you may get in a children's party bag into a piece of colourful pop art that you can own and display forever. The end result is a bold, bright, and very summery painting that would brighten up any room in the house.

It is painted in acrylics and Posca pen on thick high quality paper, and is part of a series of works done on the smaller paper size A5, hence the lower price. The series depicts smaller, more detailed objects.

I love presenting objects in a simple, pop art style, opting for graphic impact rather than realism.

PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in a white A5 frame for display purposes.
