Retro Froot Loops Cereal Pop Art Painting on A4 Paper
Retro Froot Loops Cereal Pop Art Painting on A4 Paper
In this new painting on A4 paper I've depicted the design of a retro 1960's Kellogg's Froot Loops box.
More popular in the US than the UK, Froot Loops is a mixed fruit flavoured cereal made up of various coloured hoops, in pink, purple, green, turquoise, yellow, and orange. Like most breakfast cereals aimed at kids, it's sugary but super appealing in its appearance.
Depicted on the box in appealing cartoon form is Toucan Sam, who has been the official mascot of Froot Loops cereal since 1963.
Ever since I was a child I've loved breakfast cereal, but it's only since I've became an artist that I started to appreciate the awesome graphic design that goes into some of the packaging. Much like Andy Warhol faithfully recreating his favourite everyday food packaging in a modern, graphic art style, my painting of the cereal box is pretty faithful to the original.
The end result is a bold and bright piece of art that would brighten up any room in your home, although it would look especially great in the kitchen.
It is painted in acrylics on thick high quality A4 paper. PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in a black A4 frame.
