Pizza 'First Slice' Pop Art Painting on A3 Paper
Pizza 'First Slice' Pop Art Painting on A3 Paper
Pizza has long been my favourite food so it naturally became one of my favourite subjects to paint too. This unframed A3 painting shows a hand taking the first slice of a fresh pepperoni pizza, leaving satisfying trails of molten cheese. Whilst the graphic representation of food is a regular theme for me, the inclusion of human elements is still relatively new. The edge of the pizza is depicted as part of a perfect circle cut into slices. All is suspended against my trademark sky blue background.
As with the rest of my work my aim is for graphic, colourful impact over realism. The end result is a colourful painting that would brighten up any room in your home, or would make an ideal gift for a food lover.
It was painted in acrylics and Posca pen on thick high quality A3 paper, and is signed on the back.
PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in a white A3 frame for display purposes.
