In the late summer of 2024 I was asked to create an animated teaser video for the Japanese city-pop and keyboard playing legend, Mimi Kobayashi. The song is Lazy Love, a reggae inspired cut released on the record label Time Capsule Sounds. The idea of the video was to show a couple on a beach surrounded by instruments.
As Mimi’s song starts, the instruments come alive and the couple starts to vibe to the music, before returning to being in ‘lazy love’ at the end of the video. As with the other music videos I’ve created, the images and characters were all drawn by hand by me, then animated using a mixture of Adobe Photoshop and Premiere.
